As noted elsewhere on this site, 2013 ended and 2014 began quite badly.
Luckily, the challenges are resolving themselves as I move back to health and wellness and away from the specter of cancer that overtook me from August of 2013 till now.
I’ve grown and learned a lot since my diagnosis of Burkitt’s Lymphoma. I’ve learned more about myself, my friends and family; about Walter, the man I’ve spent the past 19 years, and plan to spend the rest of my life; those internet friends from Facebook that I love greatly; the professional contacts that have stood by me while I’ve recuperated; I’ve learned that some things are more important than others and that everything not important should just fall by the wayside.
Along this cancer journey that I’ve been on I’ve also met some other wonderful people: patients, doctors, nurses, hospital support staff and new internet friends. Many have been going through their own personal cancer journeys either as patient or as caregiver. Many of these people have become friends and I will continue to remember and celebrate their presence, probably for the rest of my life.
It is to these people that I dedicate this new and improved publication.
